Born on Detroit’s West Side near 7 Mile, Clark’s musical DNA is royal. He was raised in the shadow of Motown and cut his teeth in the 1980s under the tutelage of Ken Collier, the godfather of Detroit DJing. While his peers were looking to Europe, Clark was looking inward, absorbing the energy of Chicago’s Ron Hardy and New York’s Larry Levan to forge a sound that was distinctly Detroit. By the early 90s, he was a core figure in the city’s electronic explosion, working with Underground Resistance and co-founding the seminal group Members of the House.
THE RENAISSANCE (2025–2026) Today, Mike “Agent X” Clark is in the midst of a powerful career renaissance. Far from resting on his legendary status, he is dominating the modern charts and dancefloors. His 2024-2025 production run has been flawless, with marquee releases including:
